CEBU — The stage at JPark Island Resort and Waterparks Cebu came alive as candidates of Miss Asia Pacific International 2026 showcased confidence, presence, and individuality during the Preliminary Competition. The Philippines emerged as the night's biggest winner, sweeping top honors in both swimsuit and evening gown categories.
A Sweeping Victory for the Philippines
The Philippine delegate delivered a commanding performance that left judges and audiences captivated. She claimed Best in Swimsuit, edging out Thailand and the Czech Republic, who finished as first and second runners-up respectively. The momentum continued into the evening gown segment. The Philippines once again took the top prize, with the Dominican Republic and Thailand securing runner-up positions. This back-to-back recognition underscored the delegate's versatility and consistency across multiple rounds.
Beyond the major categories, the Philippines also earned the Ms. Be Hotel and Resort title. These accolades position the country as a strong contender heading into the Grand Coronation Night, scheduled for October 10 at the Mactan Expo in Lapu-Lapu City.

The Philippines' Gabrielle Galapia earned first runner-up with a costume celebrating T'boli handwoven embroidery from Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. Cambodia's Ry Srey Neth took second runner-up.
