ILOILO — Two young mathematicians from Hua Siong College of Iloilo brought honor to the city after winning medals at the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad Final Round 2026. The competition was held from August 21 to 23, 2026, at the Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin.

Micaiah Arton Immanuel S. Co, a Grade 3 pupil, captured the Silver Award and was named a Leibniz Prize awardee. His achievement places him among the top performers in his age group. The Leibniz Prize is a special recognition given to students who demonstrate exceptional mathematical reasoning.
