DAVAO — A historic gathering of hobbyists, collectors, and gamers is set to transform the Atrium of Gaisano Mall of Digos from October 4 to 10, 2026. Hobbytaat's Hobby Mania — Digos Edition brings a full week of tournaments, exhibits, cosplay, and community celebration to Davao del Sur.
A First for Digos City
This marks the first time this year that Gaisano Mall of Digos and Hobbytaat have joined forces to unite the hobby community under one roof. Organizers describe the event as more than just a showcase; it is a week-long festival celebrating competition, collections, and camaraderie across Mindanao.
The event welcomes participants from Digos, Davao, General Santos, Koronadal, Tagum, Cagayan de Oro, and everywhere in between. The invitation extends to friends and families, encouraging everyone to bring their collections, battle decks, Beyblades, and cosplay costumes. The goal is to demonstrate that Digos City has a growing and passionate hobby community.
Tournaments for Every Competitor
Trading card game enthusiasts can test their skills in tournaments featuring Pokémon, Flesh and Blood, and other popular TCGs. Players of different skill levels are welcome, from seasoned competitors to curious beginners eager to learn the ropes.
A Beyblade tournament adds high-energy spinning battles to the lineup. Participants are encouraged to bring their best combinations and prove who has the strongest build. The competition promises thrilling moments as tops clash and strategies unfold.
For those new to trading card games, a Learn to Play session offers a friendly entry point. Experienced players will guide newcomers through the basics, helping them discover a new hobby in a supportive environment. This inclusive approach ensures that no one feels left out.
Cosplay, Collectibles, and Special Guests
A Cosplay Showdown invites cosplayers to bring their favorite characters to life. Participants will showcase their craftsmanship and performance skills before an audience of fellow enthusiasts. Photographers and fans will have ample opportunities to capture memorable moments.
Toy and collectible exhibits will display impressive collections of figures, diecast models, trading cards, and rare finds. Merchants will also be on hand, offering toys, cards, collectibles, and hobby treasures for attendees looking to expand their collections.
Organizers have teased exciting special guests who will travel to Digos to make the celebration even bigger. Their identities remain under wraps, adding an element of anticipation to the week-long event.
A Celebration of Community
Hobby Mania is designed to foster connections among like-minded individuals who share a passion for collecting, gaming, and creative expression. The event provides a safe, welcoming space where friendships can form and communities can strengthen.
The week-long format allows participants to drop in on multiple days, exploring different activities at their own pace. Whether someone is a competitive TCG player, a casual collector, or a first-time cosplayer, there is something designed for them. The organizers emphasize that everyone is welcome.
One City, One Community
The rallying cry for the event is simple: One City. One Community. One Big Hobby Mania. Organizers are calling on enthusiasts across Mindanao to bring their energy and enthusiasm to Digos City.
Mark your calendars, tell your friends, and share the excitement. From October 4 to 10, the Atrium of Gaisano Mall of Digos becomes the epicenter of hobby culture in Southern Mindanao. Digos is ready to go full hobby mode.
