Negros Oriental is celebrating the Opening Ceremony of the Negros Oriental Athletics Association (NORAA) Meet 2026, bringing together young athletes from across the province for a showcase of sportsmanship, determination, unity, and athletic excellence.
The event highlights the dedication of every Atletang Negrense, as student-athletes compete in various sporting events while representing their respective schools and communities.

The opening ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting provincial athletic competition, where young athletes gathered not only to compete but also to build friendships and demonstrate the values of discipline and teamwork. With the crowd cheering them on, the athletes showed the energy and enthusiasm that make school sports an important part of youth development in Negros Oriental.

The Medal Race Begins
As the competition continues, participating delegations are battling for the top spots in the medal standings. The partial unofficial results as of September 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM show NOHS leading the standings with 60 gold, 33 silver, and 21 bronze medals.
San Jose follows with 28 gold, 24 silver, and 22 bronze, while Valencia holds third with 25 gold, 13 silver, and 15 bronze. Other delegations currently appearing in the standings include La Libertad, Siaton, Zamboanguita, AMLAN, Manjuyod, Jimalalud, Santa Catalina, Mabinay, Sibulan, Ayungon, Taysan, Bindoy, Bacong, and Dauin.
