Delivering Essential Healthcare to the Community
LEYTE - The Provincial Health Services Office (PHSO) conducted a medical mission at the Barangay Santo Rosario Gym in Maasin City on July 14, providing free medical services to nearly 100 residents. The activity brought healthcare professionals directly to the community, allowing individuals to receive basic medical consultations and other essential health services without having to travel to healthcare facilities. By reaching residents at the barangay level, the provincial government continues to improve access to healthcare while addressing the everyday medical needs of local families. The initiative reflects Southern Leyte's commitment to ensuring that healthcare remains accessible, especially for underserved communities.
Healthcare Services Closer to Every Resident
The medical mission is part of a continuing series of community outreach activities organized by the Provincial Health Services Office throughout Southern Leyte. Similar to the province's Provincial Caravan, these initiatives are designed to bring government services directly to the people, making healthcare more convenient and readily available. Through regular medical missions, residents benefit from preventive healthcare, early medical consultation, and health education that contribute to better overall community wellness. These outreach efforts also strengthen the relationship between healthcare providers and the communities they serve.
Strengthening Public Health Across Southern Leyte
Community-based healthcare programs such as this medical mission play an important role in promoting healthier and more resilient communities across Southern Leyte. By continuously expanding access to basic medical services, the provincial government helps improve public health while encouraging residents to seek timely medical care. The dedication of healthcare workers and local officials demonstrates a shared commitment to improving the quality of life of every Southern Leyteño. As similar medical missions continue in other municipalities and barangays, Southern Leyte remains focused on building a healthier province where quality healthcare is within reach for all residents.
