GENERAL TRIAS CITY, CAVITE - Good news for Gentriseño students! Applications are now open for the DSWD Educational Assistance for the Academic Year 2026-2027, providing 350 additional slots for qualified college students who were unable to apply for the CHED Tulong Dunong Program (TDP). The initiative, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aims to support more Gentriseño youth in pursuing their education.
Who Can Apply and What Are the Requirements
The DSWD Educational Assistance program is designed to help students who were unable to apply for the CHED Tulong Dunong Program for the current academic year. The applicant must be a resident and voter of General Trias City, currently enrolled as a college student for the Academic Year 2026-2027, and not a current beneficiary of any CHED scholarship program, government-funded student financial assistance, or Educational Financial Assistance from the LGU.
Only one applicant per family is allowed to submit an application, and only 350 slots are available for this program. Students who have already submitted an application for CHED-TDP or those who submitted from September 1, 2026 onwards do not need to resubmit.
Where and When to Submit Applications
Applications must be submitted to the District 6 Office located at Prinza Street, General Trias, Cavite, from September 8 to 11, 2026. Applicants are advised to ensure all requirements are complete and correct before going to the office.
