Angeles University Foundation is expanding beyond its Central Luzon base by partnering with Maplecrest Group, Inc. to build a 3-hectare campus in Imus, Cavite. Located across the Imus Government Center and near the CALAX interchange, the campus will offer the Cavite community AUF's quality education and will be served by the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit system.
A Landmark Expansion for Cavite's Educational Landscape
AUF, established in 1962 and considered the premier university of Central Luzon, is making its first foray beyond the region through a strategic collaboration with Maplecrest Group Inc. and Rivermoor Inc. . Under a landmark agreement, the university will establish a flagship academic institution within a newly envisioned mixed-use township in Cavite . Dr. Joseph Emmanuel L. Angeles, AUF president, emphasized the significance of this partnership: "This partnership reflects our enduring mission to form persons of integrity and excellence, while extending access to quality Catholic education in a rapidly growing region" .
The campus will occupy a 3-hectare site in Imus, strategically located across the Imus Government Center, and will serve as a landmark structure near the Imus segment of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) . This location ensures excellent connectivity for students and educators, as the campus will be accessible via the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) system and its feeder transport network . Guillermo C. Choa, speaking on behalf of MGI and RMI, called the partnership a milestone: "This is not just a school—it's a catalyst. AUF's presence elevates this development from a real estate project to a living, learning, and thriving community" .
A Shared Vision for Education and Community Development
The partnership reflects a shared vision between the university and its development partners. Maplecrest Group Inc., an investment company focused on ventures that create enduring social value, and Rivermoor Inc., a diversified investment company with a focus on high-social-impact projects, are positioning AUF as the cornerstone of a township designed for long-term social impact and regional upliftment . In return, the university will serve as the township's educational anchor, enhancing property value, community cohesion, and investor confidence .
As AUF prepares to launch its Cavite Campus within four years, the institution's proven track record of academic excellence will benefit the Cavite community . AUF has a long history of producing top-notch graduates in professional licensure exams, including Accountancy, Criminology, Education, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and the Allied Medical professions . The university remains committed to making education affordable even as it maintains high standards, in keeping with the philosophy of its founder, Dr. Barbara Y. Angeles: "No one should be deprived of education due to poverty".
