The City Government of Bacoor recently concluded its successful 3-Day Robotics: LEGO® Mindstorm Programming Workshop at the Bacoor Clubhouse. Sponsored by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, the initiative provided hands-on STEM training to local youth, equipping them with valuable skills in assembling, coding, and operating robots using Scratch-based block programming software.
Workshop Highlights and Skills Developed
The robotics workshop provided participants with hands-on training in assembling, coding, and operating robots using Scratch-based block programming. Seven young students completed the training, developing essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking throughout the program . The Clubhouse Network has highlighted that LEGO Mindstorms activities are more than just a fun pastime—they foster collaboration, as members work together to build robots from scratch, sharing ideas and learning from each other's strengths. Each participant plays a crucial role, whether programming the robot's movements, designing the structure, or troubleshooting technical difficulties, creating a shared experience that builds camaraderie and mutual respect.
