BE Residences, the residential property arm of Benedicto-led BE Group, will take its roadshow to Taiwan from March 19 to 23, 2026 in Tainan and Taipei to launch its Cebu and Bohol projects to overseas Filipino workers and local investors.
As per an announcement by licensed real estate broker Rud Kilongkilong, a roadshow will be held with two stops, Tainan on March 21 and Ximending in Taipei on March 22.
BE Residences
The BE Group of Companies is based in Cebu and has been in the hospitality and real estate developers business for the last four decades. BE Residences is the residential development arm of the BE Group of Companies. The firm is a major Visayas property developer and has already completed a number of hotels, resorts, and residential condominiums.
The company is led by Grand Benedicto as President and CEO, with Nova Noval serving as Chief Operating Officer. BE Residences has been expanding aggressively in recent years, particularly through its Balai brand, an affordable housing segment designed to offer resort-style living at accessible price points.
The developer's flagship Balai projects include Balai Punta Engaño and Balai Cordova in Cebu, and Balai Helena in Panglao, Bohol. The company also operates BE Resort Mactan and BE Grand Resort Bohol, which have helped establish its presence in the tourism sector.
What BE Residences is bringing to Taiwan
The roadshow is expected to highlight BE Residences' projects in Cebu and Bohol, with particular attention to the company's growing presence on Panglao Island.
Balai Helena: BE Residences' flagship Bohol project
Balai Helena is the first master-planned community by BE Residences in Bohol, located in Barangay Dauis on Panglao Island. Named after Helena Benedicto, the Benedicto family matriarch, the development sits on a 2.5-hectare property and features three residential towers alongside a commercial complex called Plaza Helena.
The project broke ground on September 14, 2024, with local government officials from Dauis and Panglao in attendance. According to company officials, Tower 1 sold out during pre-selling, while Tower 2 reached approximately 70 percent sold shortly after the groundbreaking.
Unit types and pricing:
Studio units: Starting at P3.2 million, covering 21 square meters
One-bedroom and two-bedroom units
Sky Yarden units: Premium two-bedroom units with private outdoor spaces on upper floors
Amenities:
Balai Helena features resort-style amenities grouped under the concept of "Tugkaran," a Visayan term for an open gathering space. These include:
Dayon: A free-form pool for adults and children
Tapok: A venue for social gatherings and celebrations
Obra: A semi-covered co-working space for remote work and learning
Duwa: An interactive playground for children
The development also features a distinctive basket-weave facade designed by architect Love Sarte, intended to honor Filipino craftsmanship while incorporating Boholano cultural elements. Additional features include standby generators, CCTV coverage, Wi-Fi connectivity in common areas, two high-speed elevators per tower, fire detection systems, and leasable storage spaces.
Strategic location:
Balai Helena is positioned for accessibility to key destinations on Panglao Island:
10 minutes from Panglao International Airport
15 minutes from Alona Beach
20 minutes from Tagbilaran City Sea Port
15 minutes from BE Grand Resort
BE Residences' Cebu portfolio
The company also maintains a significant presence in Cebu, with projects that have shaped its reputation as a reliable developer.
Balai Cordova, located in Barangay San Miguel, Cordova, Cebu, is a five-tower development with a commercial strip and expansive open spaces. The project sits near the proposed Cebu-Bohol Friendship Bridge, which would link Cordova to Jetafe in Bohol, and the planned Mactan-Cebu artificial islands development—a world-class lifestyle destination featuring a cruise terminal, marina, golf course, and retail centers.
Balai Punta Engaño in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, was the first Balai project and helped carry the company through the pandemic according to COO Nova Noval. Units in this project started at approximately P2.7 million and now sell at around P2.9 million, with flexible financing options available .
BE Residences Lahug in Cebu City offers a mix of studio units, two-bedroom garden suites, and two-floor townhomes with private garages. The 20-level condominium also features a unique concept called "The Condovision"—eight two-story, three-bedroom homes designed to combine the comfort of a house with the convenience of condominium living .
Why Taiwan?
The roadshow is aimed at overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and members of the Filipino community in Taiwan who have begun to show growing interest in real estate investments. Overseas Filipinos are still one of the biggest drivers of property purchases in the Philippines, with developers organizing increasingly more overseas roadshows to reach buyers in their place of work.
For Taiwanese investors, Philippine real estate has become a window to a budding Southeast Asian market. Panglao and Cebu are examples of tourism-heavy locales that have become easily accessible. Panglao International Airport's completion coupled with the island's emergence as a tourism destination has made the island a target for property developers.
For BE Residences, the Taiwan roadshow represents an opportunity to introduce its Balai brand to a new audience. For Filipinos in Taiwan looking to invest in property back home, it offers a chance to see what the developer has been building on Panglao and in Cebu—before the next wave of turnover dates arrive.
