Competing against the absolute best government choir groups from all over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the Dasmariñas City Teachers' Chorale just won the ultimate crown at the prestigious Himig Lingkod Bayani national finals.
A Historic Win for Cavite Educators
Held in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, this national singing battle was designed to showcase the artistic talents of public servants across the archipelago. The competition was incredibly fierce, with massive regional powerhouse choirs like the DepEd Bohol Chorale and the Coro Davao de Oro bringing their absolute best performances. But the night undeniably belonged to Cavite. The Dasmariñas City Teachers' Chorale did not just win the top prize—they completely swept the entire arena. Because of their breathtaking harmonies and flawless vocal control, they were officially crowned the National Grand Champions, taking home a massive PHP300,000 cash prize and the championship trophy.
A Sweep of Special Awards
The group also took home the special award for Best Cluster Entry for Luzon. To prove their total dominance, they won an extra PHP30,000 for Best Interpretation of the Competition Song, and another PHP30,000 for Best Musical Arrangement. By the end of the night, these incredible Caviteño educators walked away with a grand total of PHP360,000 and the undisputed respect of the entire country.
