PHILIPPINES — Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI) has been honored with the Sustainability Rising Star Award at the prestigious ACES Awards 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur on October 26, 2026. The recognition places the VisMin developer alongside Shell Pilipinas Corporation and Northern Cement Corporation as champions of environmental stewardship in business growth.

A Regional Platform for Excellence

The Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Awards is a premier regional platform organized by MORS Group. Its 13th annual edition drew 1,238 nominations from 35 countries across 45 industries, celebrating responsible leadership and lasting positive impact.

CLI’s recognition highlighted the shared responsibility of property developers, energy providers, and manufacturers to embed environmental care into their operations. It underscores how Asian enterprises are moving beyond profit to prioritize community and planetary well-being.

Building Green from the Ground Up

At the heart of CLI’s success is its commitment to integrating sustainability from conception to completion. The company’s portfolio includes certified green projects such as Masters Tower Cebu, 38 Park Avenue, and Latitude Corporate Center, all designed with advanced energy-efficient systems.

At least seventy percent of CLI’s projects employ louvers and high-performance building envelopes that reduce heat gain, achieving up to forty-five percent energy efficiency in as-built designs. These climate-smart features minimize carbon footprints while enhancing occupant comfort and well-being.

Environmental Action Beyond Construction

Beyond design, CLI’s operations reflect a forward-looking agenda that merges technology, community welfare, and ecological preservation. Through its RiverRecycle partnership, the company cleans three major Cebu City rivers to prevent plastic waste from reaching the ocean.

The initiative aims to divert forty tons of plastic and sixty tons of residual waste annually, converting them into recyclable boards for construction and furniture. The CLI Foundation’s GROW program has also planted more than 400,000 trees since 2021, supporting carbon sequestration and local livelihoods.

Sustainability as a Business Imperative

CLI’s sustainability vision extends beyond compliance; it is a cornerstone of its corporate culture. In 2024, the company launched LEAD, a collaboration with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development to share green design expertise for affordable housing.

This program made Tipolo Residences 2 the first private socialized housing project in the country to earn BERDE certification. The building incorporates solar panels, rainwater tanks, and passive design, proving that sustainable living can be accessible to all Filipinos.

A Growing Legacy of Recognition

The ACES Award adds to CLI’s growing list of accolades from PropertyGuru, BCI Asia, and the Institute of Corporate Directors. Most notably, the company was added to ATRAM’s SDG Fund for its strong environmental, social, and governance track record.

As CLI continues to expand across Visayas and Mindanao, its commitment to building vibrant, resilient communities remains unwavering. The recognition affirms that responsible development is not just good for the planet but also a driver of long-term business value.
