DUMAGUETE CITY – With the successful conclusion of the all-inclusive real estate seminar for beginners, which took place yesterday at the Dumaguete Royal Suite Inn, a significant turning point was reached by those aspiring to become real estate experts in Negros Oriental. The training, which was held on April 9, 2026, was headed by Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio, founder and CEO of Filipino Homes.
The seminar, entitled "Build Wealth in Real Estate: Essential Strategies for Beginners," had a packed hall filled with enthusiastic attendees who hoped to enter the world of real estate. Leuterio, who grew his business from a small 16-square meter office to a national network that boasts well over 100 branches, gave useful techniques that can help generate the attendees' first six-figure income and build up their business to ensure future wealth. Participants gained valuable insights on how to launch a career in real estate without prior knowledge, how to gain confidence in themselves, and how to join a network of more than 35,000 brokers, and salesperson spread throughout the nation.
Dumaguete's Growing Appeal
It occurs during a time when Dumaguete has been garnering a lot of attention from the rest of the country. Earlier this month, the World Travel Index named “City of Gentle People” the safest destination in the country to visit come 2026, giving it a 82.28% safety score. The accolade, which gave Dumaguete an edge over other prominent cities like Davao City and Balanga City, was based on a variety of criteria, among which were the local crime rate, presence of law enforcers, public safety policies, and involvement of the community.
This recognition also adds more value to Dumaguete as a place where one can expect profitable investments in property. The town’s reputation as a place where people live in a friendly society, surrounded by peace and quiet, will attract many investors, both domestic and foreign. One example would be Cebu Landmasters Inc., an established real estate company that operates primarily in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Among their recent projects is the Casa Mira Coast, which is found in neighboring Sibulan.
A Blueprint for Success
In the process of discussing this topic, Leuterio emphasized the ability of real estate to create more millionaires than any other business. He led everyone in a process of how this could be done. From nothing to seeing lucrative properties and building reliable sources of income through buying, selling, renting and dealing in foreclosed properties.
Leuterio's credentials back up the promise. Filipino Homes has evolved into a nationwide company that now works not only locally but also internationally, with global partners targeting Filipino expatriates. His trainees have gone on to close major deals in Cebu, Davao, and Metro Manila — many within their first three months.
What's Next for Attendees
Graduates of the seminar were encouraged to take immediate action: register with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), secure their real estate salesperson licenses, and begin applying the strategies learned. Leuterio reminded participants that millionaires don't wait for the right time — they show up, learn the game, and start playing.
With the seminar now concluded, Filipino Homes is expected to announce follow-up training sessions and mentorship programs for those who wish to deepen their knowledge. For Dumagueteños who attended, the path from spectator to active player in the real estate industry has officially begun.
