Surgery dates are scheduled for September 8 and September 10, with 15 slots available each day. The service is exclusively for Iloilo City residents. Pet owners must present a valid government-issued ID showing an Iloilo City address. An updated rabies vaccination card is also required.
Important Pre-Surgery Guidelines
Pets must be bathed before their scheduled surgery date. Fasting is crucial—no food or water for 8 to 10 hours before the procedure. This vital step prevents complications during anesthesia.
Safety and transport rules are strictly enforced. Dogs must be brought on a sturdy leash. Cats must be securely placed in a well-ventilated pet carrier. Unsecured pets will not be admitted.
Eligibility and Health Criteria
Pets must be at least 6 months old and in good physical condition. Cats must weigh at least 1.5 kilograms. Dogs have a maximum weight limit of 10 kilograms. These requirements ensure the safety of the animals during surgery.
Certain pets are not eligible for the procedure. Pregnant pets, those in heat, or actively nursing cannot be accommodated. Pets infested with ticks or mites, or suffering from medical conditions, are also excluded. There are also required waiting periods after birth—6 weeks for cats and 8 weeks for dogs.
