On June 23, 2026, the Provincial Government of Cavite spearheaded a successful medical and dental mission in Barangay Lapidario, Trece Martires City. The outreach program provided free, localized healthcare to 480 local residents.
A Collaborative Effort for Community Health
The medical and dental mission in Barangay Lapidario brought together a dedicated team of healthcare professionals alongside the Office of the Provincial Governor, demonstrating the provincial government's commitment to bringing essential health services directly to communities . With 480 residents receiving care, the outreach program significantly expanded access to medical and dental services for families who may not regularly visit hospitals or clinics.
Medical consultations benefited 333 individuals, addressing a wide range of health concerns through professional examinations and diagnoses . Dental services, a crucial component often unavailable to underserved communities, provided care to 52 patients. Diagnostic procedures played a key role in the mission, with 29 patients undergoing ECG testing and 66 individuals receiving Fasting Blood Sugar screenings.
Local Government Support and Future Impact
The mission received strong backing from city leadership, with Mayor Gemma B. Lubigan, Vice Mayor Bobby L. Montehermoso, and 7th District Board Member Aldrin Anacan in attendance . Barangay Lapidario, one of the thirteen barangays of Trece Martires City, serves as an important community within the de facto capital of Cavite, where many provincial government offices are located . The presence of these officials underscores the partnership between the provincial and city governments in ensuring that healthcare reaches even the most in-need residents.
The Trece Martires People's Park, a planned 1.8-hectare property in Barangay Lapidario near the capitol, is envisioned to feature a gymnasium, convention center, and outdoor amphitheater, which could potentially serve as additional venues for future community health events . This medical mission exemplifies how the provincial government, through initiatives like the Cavite Service Caravan, continues to deliver "Serbisyong Totoo" directly to the people, making quality healthcare accessible and improving the quality of life for Caviteños across the province.
