IMUS CITY, CAVITE - Imus City's Engineering Action Team conducted a series of clearing operations and drainage repairs across various barangays from August 26 to September 2, 2026, to prevent flooding and maintain cleanliness in the city's growing urban areas. The operations, which covered canal clearing, de-clogging, and waterway maintenance, were carried out in multiple barangays to ensure safer living conditions for residents.
Canal Clearing Operations
Imus City's Engineering Action Team conducted regular canal clearing operations to ensure the free flow of water and prevent blockages that could lead to flooding. The team worked on August 26 at Greengate Subdivision in Barangay Malagasang 1-A and Lancaster Subdivision in Alapan 2-A. On August 27, operations shifted to Anabu 1-A and Greengate Subdivision in Malagasang 2-A. August 28 saw the team clear canals at Sarreal Subdivision in Bayan Luma 8.
Expanded Maintenance and De-Clogging
Imus City's Engineering Action Team expanded its operations on August 29 to cover multiple locations, including canal clearing along NIA Road in Carsadang Bago 2, Anabu 2-E, the NGC Compound, Patindig Araw-Hausland Bypass Road, and Jade-Imus Boulevard Access Road. The team also performed de-clogging and waterway maintenance in Malagasang 1-G and Pag-asa 3. Canal clearing continued on August 31 at Pag-asa 3, and on September 2, the team cleared canals in Bucandala 1 and 2, Heritage Park, and drainage in Marian Village-Bayan Luma 8.
These regular maintenance activities are part of Imus City's ongoing flood prevention efforts, which are critical as the city continues to experience rapid urbanization and development.
