GENERAL LUNA, SIARGAO — Getting around General Luna is set to become more convenient as the Local Government Unit of General Luna prepares to introduce Isle Ride, a pilot tricycle e-hailing platform designed to modernize local transportation. The system will connect passengers with registered and franchised tricycle and tuk-tuk drivers through a more organized booking process, with its soft launch scheduled for September 14, 2026. Implemented under Municipal Ordinance No. 0129-26, the initiative forms part of the municipality’s Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) and flagship Serbisyong TAMA Program.
Making Island Travel More Convenient
The Isle Ride Platform is designed to give residents and visitors a simpler way to find local transportation while providing clearer information about fares and available drivers. By linking passengers with registered local operators, the system aims to create a more structured riding experience while supporting the municipality’s existing public transport network. While the Isle Ride application is still being prepared for release through the App Store and Google Play, residents and visitors can already access the platform by scanning QR codes posted around General Luna. The early access provides an opportunity to become familiar with the service as preparations for the full application continue.
