ILOILO CITY — Belmont Hotel Iloilo, now the city’s largest hotel with 405 rooms, officially opens its doors today, June 24, 2026, at the vibrant Iloilo Business Park. The Megaworld‑operated property promises a sensory journey blending Ilonggo flavors, art, and sustainable hospitality.
A Grand Arrival in the City’s Premier Township
The 12‑storey hotel anchors the Festive Walk Parade, just steps from the Iloilo Convention Center and Festive Walk Mall. Its Miami Art Deco silhouette brings a fresh architectural statement to the township. With 880 rooms now available across three Megaworld properties in the estate, the city’s hotel capacity receives a major boost.
General Manager Joy Alonte described the opening as an invitation for travelers to discover the many stories and flavors that make Iloilo special. She said the hotel is ready to welcome guests with the warmth of Ilonggo hospitality. The property’s strategic location positions it to capture the growing MICE and leisure markets.
Culinary Delights: Mabugana and Tagbo Buffets
Food takes center stage with two distinct buffet experiences at Belmont Café, the hotel’s modern Ilonggo diner. The Mabugana Lunch Buffet, priced at ₱880 nett per person, celebrates local abundance from noon to two in the afternoon. It showcases regional produce and heirloom recipes that honor the province’s UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy status.
From six in the evening, the Tagbo Dinner Buffet offers an international spread at ₱1,288 nett per person. The name “Tagbo” evokes coming together, reflecting the communal spirit of Ilonggo dining. Both promotions run until June 27, giving early guests a chance to feast at introductory rates. The restaurant seats 108 diners and includes a private room.
A Feast for the Senses: Art, Wellness, and More
Beyond the table, the hotel weaves local creativity into every corner. The dedicated Art Space features rotating exhibits by Ilonggo artists, turning corridors into galleries. This commitment to culture extends to the lobby’s Zabana Bar, where cocktails incorporate Filipino ingredients, and the rooftop Float Bar & Grill overlooking the pool.
Wellness amenities cater to both leisure and business travelers. Guests can access the BFit Gym, sauna, massage rooms, and a lounge pool. The Northern Islands Ballroom accommodates up to 300 guests for weddings and conferences. Specially‑abled rooms and themed children’s rooms ensure the property welcomes families of all kinds.
Introductory Rates and Seamless Booking
To celebrate the opening, Belmont Hotel Iloilo is offering introductory room rates for the first three months. A Standard Queen starts at ₱4,000 nett, while a One‑Bedroom Suite is ₱8,000 nett, all inclusive of breakfast for two, Wi‑Fi, and pool access. Reservations can be made by calling +63 33 330 6388 or emailing [email protected].
These promotional prices make luxury accessible to domestic travelers and weekend staycationers. The hotel’s proximity to the airport and major attractions adds to its appeal for short visits. Guests can explore the city’s heritage churches and esplanades before returning to the comfort of their spacious rooms.
Sustainable Hospitality from Day One
The hotel launches under Megaworld’s MEGreen sustainability framework, embedding eco‑friendly practices immediately. On opening day, the team conducted a street caravan in partnership with BYD Iloilo electric vehicles, emphasizing mindful travel. This aligns with Iloilo City’s own push for green mobility and livability.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts Managing Director Cleofe Albiso said the opening marks an important milestone in boosting Visayas tourism. She noted that Iloilo continues to be a premier destination, with Iloilo Business Park leading the way. The Belmont brand’s arrival signals confidence in the city’s long‑term growth as a vibrant, welcoming hub.
