PHILIPPINES — More of the country's leading developers are set to join the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program this week, signaling growing private sector confidence in the government's flagship housing initiative. Two renowned developers will sign separate agreements with Pag-IBIG Fund to formalize their participation.

Private Sector Confidence Continues to Grow

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling welcomed the entry of top developers as a gamechanger for the government housing program. He noted that private sector confidence continues to grow, especially coming from some of the country's most respected developers.

"This is a gamechanger as far as government housing program is concerned," Aliling said. "We take this growing confidence from the private sector as a positive vote for the sustainability of the Expanded 4PH Program." He emphasized that private sector trust in government is crucial to the success of these initiatives.

Five Major Developers Already Onboard

So far, five of the country's top developers have officially signed memorandums of understanding with Pag-IBIG Fund in support of the flagship program. These include Megawide Construction Corporation, Ayala Land Inc.'s housing brands Amaia and Avida, SM Development Corporation, Filinvest Land Inc., and Robinson Land Corporation.

The participation of these established players brings additional housing inventory to the program. Under the MOUs, developers will offer preferential rates and other incentives for housing units in select projects to qualified Pag-IBIG Fund members. This expands the range of options available to homebuyer-beneficiaries.

Quality Housing and Wider Financing Options

The DHSUD chief cited that the entry of reputable developers provides better quality housing and wider financing options for beneficiaries. He assured that homes offered under the program would be of high quality and located in desirable areas.

"Sa pagpasok ngayon ng mga malalaking developer, tiwala tayo na siguradong dekalidad ang mga pabahay na ma-o-offer natin sa mga homebuyers at magaganda ang lokasyon," Aliling said. This commitment to quality and location addresses common concerns among prospective homeowners.

Through these agreements, Pag-IBIG Fund continues to make housing financing available to more members seeking affordable homeownership. Developers contribute additional inventory while the government provides accessible financing pathways. The collaboration creates a more robust housing ecosystem.

Sustained Nationwide Rollout

The Expanded 4PH Program remains a cornerstone of the administration's housing agenda under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The sustained rollout across the country aims to address the housing backlog and provide decent shelter to Filipino families.

Aliling reiterated the department's commitment to intensifying the program alongside key shelter agencies. "Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., mas paiigtingin pa ng DHSUD kasama ang aming mga key shelter agencies ang pagpapalawak ng programang pabahay," he said.

The entry of more developers means more projects, more choices, and more options for Filipinos seeking to own a home. As the program expands, it continues to attract private sector partners who share the vision of accessible and quality housing for all.
