GENERAL SANTOS CITY - General Santos City saw 244 newly appointed Patrolmen and Patrolwomen take an important step into public service during an oath-taking ceremony on September 16. Held at the PRO 12 Grandstand in Camp Gen. Paulino T. Santos in Tambler, the gathering formally welcomed recruits under the Philippine National Police’s 2026 Regular and Attrition Quota Recruitment Program. The ceremony was presided over by Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGEN Alan B. Manibog. For the recruits, the occasion marked the transition from completing the recruitment process to beginning their responsibilities as members of the police organization.
More Hands for Public Service
The addition of the 244 personnel gives PRO 12 a new group of officers entering police work at the same time as other recruits across the country. The report noted that the General Santos City ceremony formed part of a wider recruitment effort that also saw newly appointed personnel take their oath under PRO 10. During the ceremony, Manibog reminded the recruits that wearing the police uniform carries responsibilities toward the public.
