A Million-Peso Battle on the Court
BACOLOD - The tournament is being organized by One Pickleball Tournament Organizers and is being presented as the first pickleball tournament in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental to offer a PHP1-million prize pool. With players arriving from different parts of the country, the competition gives athletes a chance to test their skills against strong opponents while experiencing the energy of MassKara season. Pickleball’s growing popularity makes the event an exciting addition to Bacolod’s sporting calendar, showing that the city can host competitive events that attract athletes and sports enthusiasts from beyond Negros.
The Game Comes With a Bigger Purpose
The tournament is not only about winning trophies and prize money. A portion of the registration fee is also being directed toward a charitable program supporting children’s nutrition. PHP100 from every player’s PHP800 registration fee will go to the Negrense Volunteers for Change Foundation’s Mingo meal program for children. That means every player stepping onto the court is also helping contribute to a cause beyond the competition. It adds another layer of meaning to an event built around sports, community participation, and giving back.
A New Sporting Spotlight for Bacolod
With MassKara bringing people into the city through culture, entertainment, food, and festivities, the pickleball tournament adds another reason for visitors to experience Bacolod this weekend. Sporting events like this can help showcase the city and Negros Occidental as destinations capable of hosting large-scale competitions while giving local athletes more opportunities to participate. The combination of high-energy matches, a massive prize pool, and a community cause makes the Million Pickleball Cup more than just another tournament. It is a celebration of sport, competition, and community—served one exciting rally at a time.
