The Pampanga provincial government has mobilized emergency response efforts to support families affected by a structural fire in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac, delivering immediate relief to displaced residents. The swift response highlights the province's commitment to providing urgent assistance and ensuring the safety and well-being of affected communities during times of crisis.
Relief Distribution Reaches Displaced Families
Local officials led by 2nd District Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, representing Governor Dennis "Nanay" Pineda and Vice Governor Cherry Pineda-Delta, alongside Porac Councilor Dexter David, personally delivered the aid to affected residents. The assistance included food packs from the provincial government and family packs from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), ensuring that basic needs are met for families who lost their homes and belongings in the incident. This immediate response is part of the standard government fire response protocol in the Philippines, which prioritizes the distribution of relief goods and the establishment of temporary evacuation centers.
Assessment and Financial Assistance Underway
Following the immediate relief phase, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) will validate the list of affected families, categorizing owners, renters, and sharers to ensure assistance reaches those who need it most. Financial assistance for house repairs or rebuilding will also be processed through programs like the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) via the DSWD. This systematic approach, consistent with established protocols, ensures that displaced families receive comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey. The provincial government's rapid response reflects its dedication to the safety and welfare of every Kapampangan, particularly during emergencies like the recent fire incident in Porac.
