A New Facility for Emergency Response
BACOLOD - The Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade Bacolod marked an important milestone on September 21, 2026, with the groundbreaking of its new and modern Command Center at The Upper East. The ceremony coincided with the organization’s 50th anniversary, bringing together a significant moment for a volunteer group that has spent decades serving Bacolod communities during fires and other emergencies.
Recognizing Five Decades of Volunteer Service
Mayor Greg Gasataya expressed full support for the organization and recognized its 50 years of dedication, courage, and volunteer service to Bacolodnon communities. The milestone highlights the continuing role of volunteer responders in supporting emergency efforts and providing assistance when communities face fires and disasters. The new facility is expected to provide the organization with an improved base for coordinating its response activities.
A Strategic Location for Future Operations
The new Command Center will rise at The Upper East, a strategic location that can support the brigade's emergency operations across Bacolod. Mayor Gasataya also expressed appreciation to Megaworld Corporation for providing the location for the facility. As the Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade enters its next chapter, the project represents an investment in stronger coordination, preparedness, and community-based emergency response.
