The Provincial Government of Cavite led a free medical and dental mission on July 30, 2026, in Brgy. Malaking Tatiao, Silang. Staff from the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital and the OPG Medical Mission Team served 477 local residents with checkups, tests, and medicines. The outreach program brought essential healthcare services directly to the community, continuing the province's commitment to accessible medical care for its residents.
Comprehensive Healthcare Services for the Community
The medical mission provided 477 residents with a full range of healthcare services at no cost. Patients received medical consultations, dental services, fasting blood sugar (FBS) tests, electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures, and free prescribed medicines . These diagnostic services help identify potential health conditions early, allowing residents to seek timely treatment.
The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals from the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH) and the Office of the Provincial Governor (OPG) medical mission team . GEAMH serves as the sole government-run hospital and the only provincial tertiary hospital in Cavite . The mission was also supported by local barangay health workers and officials, ensuring the efficient delivery of services.
Local Government Support and Commitment
5th District Board Member Ivee Jayne Reyes was present at the event, underscoring the local government's ongoing commitment to improving access to healthcare services for communities . The Provincial Government of Cavite has demonstrated a sustained commitment to public health, recently allocating PHP500 million to upgrade GEAMH and the Cavite Center for Mental Health . Governor Francisco Gabriel Remulla emphasized that the funds will cover the rehabilitation and improvement of hospital infrastructure as well as the procurement of modern medical equipment.
Silang, a municipality in Cavite located approximately one hour from Metro Manila, has become a focus of these healthcare initiatives . The medical mission in Barangay Malaking Tatiao reflects the provincial government's continuing commitment to bringing healthcare closer to communities, particularly those in underserved and remote areas.
