BACOOR, CAVITE - welcomed the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Regional Office IV-A on August 20, 2026, as it officially inaugurated its newest satellite office at SM City Bacoor, making critical public services more accessible for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families. Located on the 3rd Level within the mall's Government Service Express (GSE) section, this new facility aims to streamline essential government transactions and bring support services closer to the community.

Inauguration Highlights and Services Offered

Bacoor's new DMW satellite office is designed to make government services more convenient for OFWs and their families. The grand opening showcased several key initiatives, including the distribution of financial and reintegration assistance under the AKSYON Fund to repatriated workers. An anti-illegal recruitment and trafficking forum was also held in tandem with the opening, providing an educational platform focused on preventing human trafficking and illicit deployment practices.

The Government Service Express area allows Cavite residents to efficiently process essential documents, clearances, or membership updates directly inside the mall without the need to travel to separate government offices. Visiting OFWs can also access the designated Migrant's Brew café space for free refreshments while waiting for their transactions, making the experience more comfortable and welcoming.

Local Leadership and Community Impact

Bacoor's local government played a key role in the inauguration, with Mayor Strike B. Revilla attending the ceremony to mark the strong partnership between local government units and national agencies. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment to ensuring that OFWs and their families have access to the support and services they deserve.

The opening of the DMW satellite office at SM City Bacoor is a significant step toward making government services more accessible to Cavite residents. By integrating these services within a familiar and accessible location like the mall, the government is demonstrating its commitment to serving the needs of OFWs and their families more efficiently and conveniently.
