This month, that big dream came a massive step closer to reality for over two hundred hopeful residents of Cavite. At the Function Hall of the New Imus City Government Center, a crowd of 222 local job seekers gathered for a high-stakes "Special Recruitment Activity: Bound for Japan."

Organized by the Imus Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and led by its Officer-in-Charge Cecile Foz, the recruitment drive bypassed standard, complicated agency lines. Instead, it brought international career paths directly to the doorstep of the community. The event gave qualified local applicants a direct link to legal, verified, and secure employment opportunities in Japan. This initiative reflects the city's proactive approach to employment facilitation, ensuring that residents have access to legitimate overseas job openings without the risks associated with illegal recruitment.

Recognizing how life-changing these jobs can be, City Mayor Alex "AA" L. Advincula personally visited the venue. His presence wasn't just for a quick photo; it was a show of real support for the anxious applicants as they went through the recruitment process. This job fair proves that the local government of Imus isn't just focusing on local business growth—they are actively opening global doors for their people. By giving residents a safe, government-backed route to work overseas, the city is helping Imuseños change their financial futures without falling victim to illegal recruitment scams. For these 222 applicants, the journey from Cavite to Tokyo has officially begun. The initiative builds on the city's strong track record in employment facilitation, following previous recruitment activities for Taiwan that attracted 287 applicants, and the broader Cavite Career Caravan series that has connected thousands of jobseekers with local and overseas employers.
