CORDOVA, Cebu — The 27th Cordova Dinagat Festival reached its crescendo on August 9, 2026, as thousands gathered at the Centennial Avenue Grounds for the Grand Ritual Showdown and Street Dance Competition. Their performance captivated judges with its precision and storytelling, earning the top prize. The Ibabao Dance Ensemble secured first runner‑up honors with a cash prize of ₱300,000.
Tribu La Isla Catarcion, composed of dancers from Gilutongan, Catarman, and Poblacion, claimed second runner‑up and ₱200,000. The generous cash awards reflect the municipality’s investment in cultural excellence and provide an incentive for continued artistic growth. Each contingent left the stage to roaring applause, their months of training rewarded.
Fireworks and Festive Finale
