Recognizing Support for Young Scouts
BACOLOD - Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya received the Lingkod Kabataan Award for Distinguished Service to the Filipino Youth through Scouting, recognizing the continued support of the Bacolod City Government for programs and projects of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). The recognition highlights the city government’s efforts to support initiatives that help young people develop valuable skills and become more active members of their communities.
BSP Bacolod City Council Presents the Award
The award plaque was formally turned over by officials of the BSP Bacolod City Council, including Alfredo Gonzales, Gary Delos Reyes Sugaron, and Jo Ann Cabrera, during a ceremony at the City Mayor’s Office on September 4, 2026. The presentation served as an opportunity to recognize the partnership between the city government and the scouting organization in promoting youth-oriented programs and activities.

The recognition reflects the city’s commitment to guiding and supporting young people through programs that encourage discipline, leadership, responsibility, and community service.
