PHILIPPINES — Emirates will hold its first pilot recruitment roadshow in the Philippines on October 28 and 29, 2026, as the Dubai-based carrier expands its flight deck crew to meet surging global travel demand. The recruitment drive will take place in Manila in partnership with local agency Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc.
A Historic Recruitment Push for Filipino Aviators
This marks the first time Emirates has conducted a dedicated pilot recruitment roadshow in the Philippines. The airline is seeking experienced commercial aviators for roles as First Officers, Direct Entry Captains, and applicants under its Accelerated Command Programme. Sessions will be held at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on October 28, and at 10:00 AM on October 29.
Khalid Al Zarooni, Emirates' Country Manager for the Philippines, emphasized the airline's commitment to Filipino talent. "We look forward to welcoming more pilots from the Philippines onboard our airline as we ramp up our operations globally," he said. The roadshow will brief prospective pilots on recruitment processes, available positions, training programs, career progression, and benefits.
Opportunities for Career Advancement
Emirates is also promoting its new narrowbody-to-widebody direct entry captain campaign, targeting experienced pilots transitioning to the airline's wide-body fleet. The initiative offers a clear pathway for career growth, allowing pilots to progress from narrowbody aircraft to larger, long-haul jets.
Successful candidates will be based in Dubai and undergo evidence- and competency-based in-house training at Emirates' facilities. This includes its newly opened $135-million Crew Training Centre, equipped with six full-flight simulator bays for Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X aircraft. The training ensures pilots are fully prepared for the airline's modern fleet.
Competitive Benefits for Filipino Pilots
Emirates offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to attract top aviation talent. Pilots receive tax-free salaries, company-provided accommodation, child education allowances, and 42 days of annual leave with family flight tickets. Life, medical, and dental insurance are also included.
These benefits make the opportunity particularly attractive for Overseas Filipino Workers seeking stable, long-term careers abroad. The package provides financial security and quality of life for pilots and their families, reinforcing the airline's commitment to employee welfare.
Expanding Fleet and Philippine Connectivity
Emirates is rapidly expanding its long-haul fleet, having already received 27 Airbus A350s with an additional 47 on order. The carrier also has orders for 270 Boeing 777X jets, underscoring its long-term growth strategy. This expansion creates sustained demand for skilled pilots.
The recruitment drive comes as Emirates strengthens its presence in the Philippines, one of its longest-served markets. The airline currently operates 32 weekly flights connecting Manila, Cebu, and Clark with its Dubai hub. It also maintains a partnership with Philippine Airlines, extending domestic connectivity across key Philippine cities.
Supporting OFWs Through Partnerships
Emirates signed a memorandum of agreement with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration during the Arabian Travel Market 2026. The partnership aims to strengthen support for overseas Filipino workers and their families, reinforcing the airline's commitment to the Filipino workforce.
Interested pilots may attend the Manila roadshow at the designated times. For more information, applicants can contact IPAMS or visit Emirates' official recruitment channels. This historic recruitment drive opens new doors for Filipino aviators seeking global careers.
