Comprehensive Security Measures in Place
Bacolod City has rolled out extensive security operations for the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Qualifiers 2026. The Bacolod City Police Office deployed 369 personnel across key locations, including the tournament venue, hotels housing delegates, and government facilities. Additional officers have been assigned to patrol operations, traffic management, quick response teams, and border security to help maintain a safe environment throughout the week-long competition.
Welcoming Teams from Across Southeast Asia
The tournament brings together youth national teams from the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia as they compete for a place in the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup. Delegates and athletes arriving at Bacolod-Silay Airport received a warm welcome that featured performances inspired by the city’s famous MassKara Festival. The event is being organized through the collaboration of the city government, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, FIBA, and the Philippine Sports Commission.

City officials view the tournament as an opportunity to showcase Bacolod’s capability to host international sporting events.
