Bringing Business Support Closer to Bilar Entrepreneurs
BOHOL - A new avenue for entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities has opened in Bilar with the official launch of the Negosyo Center on August 28, 2026. Representing Governor Aris Aumentado, Orencio Mumar joined Jerome John Gabin of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bohol, Bilar Mayor Norman Palacio, Vice Mayor Ranulfo Maligmat, Municipal Administrator Jun Tabil, and Local Officer Marcil Fuertes during the opening ceremony. The establishment of the center brings essential business support services closer to local entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners in the municipality.
Providing Practical Services for MSMEs
The Negosyo Center will provide practical assistance to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including business information, registration assistance, capacity-building activities, mentoring, and access to government programs and services. These services are designed to help entrepreneurs better understand the requirements of starting and managing a business while giving existing enterprises opportunities to improve their operations. By making these resources more accessible at the local level, the center can help reduce barriers faced by individuals seeking to establish or expand sustainable businesses.
Strengthening Local Livelihood and Economic Growth
The launch reinforces the commitment of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) to strengthen local enterprises, expand livelihood opportunities, and bring government services closer to communities. Through continued support for MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs, Bilar can provide residents with greater opportunities to develop businesses that contribute to household incomes and the local economy. The initiative also supports the PGBh Strategic Governance Roadmap in advancing inclusive economic growth toward a smart, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable province and a UNESCO Global Geopark.
