The Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM), partnered with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation on June 29, 2026, at the New Provincial Government Center in Trece Martires City. This successful Special Recruitment Activity (SRA) accommodated 683 jobseekers for local and overseas roles.
A Growing Partnership for Employment
The Special Recruitment Activity was a joint effort between the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) and Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, a leading global manpower provider established in 1979 and a member of the Magsaysay Group . Magsaysay Maritime has a long-standing reputation in the industry, having been recognized with multiple awards for its services and governance, and has been granted a 12-year license by the Department of Migrant Workers—renewed for three full terms—reinforcing its legal standing as a manning agency authorized to recruit, process, and deploy Filipino seafarers .
The OPPESM, under the leadership of Provincial PESO Manager Ms. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero, has been actively strengthening employment facilitation and industry linkages across Cavite. The office has hosted benchmarking activities with other provinces and has been recognized for its best practices in employment services and workforce development . The 683 jobseekers who attended the event represent a diverse range of applicants from across and outside Cavite, seeking opportunities in hospitality, shipyard construction, healthcare, agriculture, transportation and logistics, industrial and manufacturing, and aviation—showcasing the variety of roles available through Magsaysay Maritime's extensive network.
A Broader Commitment to Workforce Development
The Special Recruitment Activity is part of a larger, ongoing effort by the Provincial Government of Cavite to strengthen its workforce development programs. The OPPESM has hosted previous recruitment events and training sessions for PESO managers and staff to enhance the delivery of employment services across the province . These efforts align with national initiatives to improve labor market outcomes and facilitate job placements.
For jobseekers who missed the June 29 event, the Provincial Government of Cavite and Magsaysay Maritime are expected to continue their collaboration on future recruitment drives. Opportunities through Magsaysay Maritime include roles at sea and overseas, with the company committing to upholding the Magna Carta for Filipino Seafarers and maintaining high standards for worker welfare and professional development .
