The event, set for Sunday, August 2, forms a central highlight of Cebu Province’s founding anniversary festivities. Governor Pamela Baricuatro will personally join the 3K category, underscoring her commitment to the cause. The run raises crucial funds for the province’s “Help to End Hunger” campaign and supports grassroots youth sports programs through the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission.
Organizers have ensured that the “Zero Hunger” theme translates into immediate action. Every registered participant who crosses the finish line will receive a post‑race meal, fulfilling the promise that no one goes hungry. The event also features over ₱230,000 in cash prizes for top finishers across competitive categories, alongside a raffle draw with a scooter, laptops, smartphones, and home appliances up for grabs.

The fun run offers five distance categories designed to attract everyone from elite athletes to casual walkers. The competitive lineup includes the 21K half marathon, 12K, and 6K routes for those chasing podium finishes and cash rewards. Participants need to bring a valid government or student ID along with their registration confirmation, either printed or digital. Those unable to come in person may send an authorized representative with a signed authorization letter, a copy of the participant’s ID, and the representative’s own valid ID.
