CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, PAMPANGA - Bringing together local administrators, regional tourism stakeholders, and the international business community, the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) successfully hosted its 3rd Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Held at the bustling Mangan Tamu Clark Food Park inside the Clark Freeport Zone, the cultural event was designed to highlight the profound power of shared heritage in uniting the enclave's highly diverse residential and corporate communities. Operating under the universal theme "Celebrating Culture, Tradition, and Togetherness," the venue was transformed by a vibrant display of traditional lantern installations.
Slicing the Giant Mooncake
CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera officially opened the ceremonies, poignantly reframing the mid-autumn moon as a universal symbol of harmony that seamlessly transcends geographical borders and cultural backgrounds. The festival featured a highly engaging lineup of interactive activities, including automated lantern-lighting countdowns, intricate traditional dances, and hands-on heritage workshops designed to teach attendees the historical roots of the autumn harvest. A major highlight of the evening was the ceremonial slicing and distribution of a giant, custom-baked mooncake—serving as a symbolic gesture of prosperity, deep-rooted friendship, and economic solidarity between Clark's local managers and global investors. The mooncake, a traditional symbol of unity and completeness, was shared among attendees representing the diverse cultural tapestry of the freeport.
A Thriving Global Community Where Commerce Meets Culture
The upscale cultural assembly was co-hosted through a strategic partnership between CDC's Tourism Promotions Division and the New Asya Pacific Foundation. Joining Atty. Devanadera in leading the community toast were top-tier CDC executives, including Vice Presidents Atty. Noelle Mina Meneses, Engr. Teresito Tiotuyco, and retired Police Major General Lina Sarmiento, alongside key division managers and international cultural attachés. By embedding these inclusive traditions into the heart of the freeport, CDC continues to prove that Clark is not just a high-yielding industrial zone, but a thriving global community where commerce and culture grow hand in hand. The Mid-Autumn Festival has become a cherished annual tradition in Clark, reflecting the freeport's commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all its residents and investors.
