Cebu — In a major milestone for its smart city initiative, Lapu-Lapu City officially launched the OneLapuLapu Super App on June 1, 2026, during the city’s flag-raising ceremony. Developed under the leadership of Mayor Cindi King-Chan and the City Information Technology Department, the digital portal is designed to consolidate transactions and information from various city offices into one accessible smartphone platform. By shifting toward an integrated framework, the city aims to make public services more efficient, faster, and significantly easier for all Oponganons to navigate.
A Unified Hub for Essential Services
The app streamlines a wide array of government interactions, eliminating the need for residents to visit multiple offices in person. Users can now request civil registry documents like birth, death, and marriage certificates, or handle tax declarations through the City Assessor’s Office. Health-related tasks are also simplified, with the app allowing appointments for dental services, health cards, and hospital consultations at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital. Furthermore, the platform integrates services from the Mayor’s Office and the Lone District Representative’s Office, where residents can apply for educational scholarships, medical assistance, and incentives for board passers.
Emergency Response and Real-Time Connectivity
Beyond administrative tasks, a core feature of the Super App is its robust Emergency & Information Hub, which provides instant connectivity to critical response agencies. Users can directly reach the police, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), Philippine Red Cross, traffic management teams, and various barangay offices during urgent situations. The hub also functions as an automated notification system, pushing city-wide announcements, program updates, and event schedules directly to the citizens. As the city approaches its 65th Charter Day on June 17, this app stands as a cornerstone of Lapu-Lapu’s commitment to innovation and citizen-centered governance.
