Porac, Pampanga. In a decisive move to bridge the digital divide for grassroots entrepreneurs, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga, in close coordination with the LGU Porac Tourism Office, successfully mounted an intensive training seminar focused on Artificial Intelligence and modern automation. The specialized workshop was designed to help local business owners integrate high-yield tech platforms into their daily workflows without requiring expensive corporate overhead. The convention was hosted at the Porac Convention Center.
Demystifying AI for Grassroots Commerce
The tech-driven assembly gathered 20 select Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) originating from various commercial sectors within the municipality, including local culinary crafters, eco-tourism lodge operators, and native artisans. The workshop featured specialized tactical frameworks delivered by resource speaker Mr. Ardie Jarelle Malit, a leading systems expert from Micro Technologies. Malit guided the local entrepreneurs through a series of hands-on, live demonstrations mapping out the immediate, practical applications of generative AI and digital workflows. The Operational Productivity session focused on utilizing smart cloud tools and data automation to streamline inventory tracking, manage local supply chains, and cut down administrative time. The Dynamic Marketing Strategies segment taught participants how to leverage AI-assisted content generators to build professional social media campaigns, design promotional materials, and write localized copy to attract tech-savvy travelers. The Market Competitiveness portion covered applying basic analytics programs to understand evolving consumer buying habits along the Clark-Porac growth corridor.
Building a Smart-Growth Hub in Central Luzon
Local economic officers highlighted that continuous digital literacy investments remain vital as Central Luzon transforms into a primary smart-growth hub. By actively moving complex cloud technologies out of corporate boardrooms and directly into the hands of local market vendors, DTI Pampanga and the Porac LGU are ensuring that native Kapampangan brands possess the specialized skills required to innovate, scale up, and thrive in an increasingly technology-driven economic landscape. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support MSMEs in the region, which have been gaining recognition for their resilience and creativity. The training also aligns with the province's growing reputation as a center for innovation and entrepreneurship, where local businesses can leverage technology to reach wider markets and improve their operations.
