Building lifesaving skills in a tourism community
Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc., in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bohol through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Local Government Unit of Panglao, is conducting the Sagip CPR activity at the Panglao Cultural Center. The initiative brings attention to the importance of knowing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), particularly in communities where residents regularly interact with travelers and visitors.
Training tourism and hospitality frontliners for emergencies
The activity gathers a wide range of tourism and community stakeholders, including hotel and resort operators, tourism and transport associations, boat operators, hospitality frontliners, barangay health workers, emergency responders, government personnel, and other community representatives. Bringing these groups together creates an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of immediate emergency response and the importance of acting quickly while professional medical assistance is being coordinated.
