Bringing Quality Sports Training Closer to Young Athletes
BOHOL - The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), through the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), will bring the 2026 Abante Grassroots Sports Clinic to Loboc on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The one-day activity will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, giving children ages 8 to 12 an opportunity to develop their athletic abilities through structured training and direct interaction with professional trainers.
Developing Skills Across Five Sports
Participants will receive training in basketball, badminton, taekwondo, athletics, and arnis, with sessions conducted at designated venues throughout the municipality. Implemented through the HANAS Program (Harnessing New and Advanced Sports Skills), the clinic is designed to strengthen grassroots sports development by introducing young athletes to quality instruction and helping them build fundamental skills in their chosen sports. The hands-on approach also gives children an encouraging environment where they can learn, practice, and discover their potential.
Nurturing the Next Generation of Boholano Athletes
Under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, the PGBh continues to support programs that provide young Boholanos with inclusive opportunities to participate in sports and develop their talents. Activities such as the Abante Grassroots Sports Clinic can help promote discipline, confidence, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles while encouraging children to pursue their athletic interests. Participants are encouraged to bring water, food, and extra clothes to stay prepared and comfortable throughout the training sessions.
