BACOLOD - Bacolod residents are being invited to take part in the blood donation activity scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on September 1, 2026, at the Bacolod City Government Center Lobby. The campaign highlights blood donation as a simple but meaningful act of community service, with every eligible donor potentially helping patients who depend on blood transfusions and their families during difficult circumstances.
Eligibility and Preparation for Donors
The activity is open to individuals 18 years old and above who are in good health and weigh at least 50 kilograms. Donors are advised to eat light, non-fatty meals and avoid eating for two hours before donating. They are also encouraged to refrain from consuming alcohol for 12 to 24 hours and avoid smoking or vaping for at least four hours before the donation. Participants should bring a PhilHealth ID or government-issued identification card for the donation process.
