Children Showcase Their Talents and Potential
BACOLOD - More than 70 children in street situations showcased their talents and potential during “CISS Got Talent,” the culmination of Anti-Mendicancy Consciousness Week 2026 held at GT 888 Premier Mall Bacolod. The young participants demonstrated their abilities through singing, dancing, and slogan-making, turning the event into a celebration of creativity, confidence, and hope. Their performances carried an important message: “Help in the Right Way: Give Hope, Not Alms.” The activity provided the children with an opportunity to express themselves while reminding the community of their potential beyond their difficult circumstances.
Giving Opportunities Instead of Alms
The event emphasized that helping children in street situations goes beyond simply giving money or food. While immediate assistance can provide temporary relief, providing opportunities, support, guidance, and access to appropriate services can help create a more sustainable path toward a better future.
