ISABEL, Leyte — Personnel from the Isabel Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge PLT Sergio M. Llaneta III, conducted a community outreach and feeding activity for the local Indigenous Badjao Community on August 30, 2026, in Barangay Sto. Niño, Isabel, Leyte.
Community Engagement Through "OPLAN BADJAO"
The afternoon activity was executed under the station's signature community engagement initiative, "OPLAN BADJAO." Designed to strengthen police-community relations, the program focuses on extending direct support, compassion, and assistance to marginalized sectors within the municipality.
Awareness and Protection: Prior to the main event, PNP personnel conducted an interactive lecture for Badjao children, sharing words of encouragement and discussing children's rights under Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Fostering Trust: The gathering included games, singing, and dancing, creating an inclusive atmosphere between officers and the youth.
Feeding Segment: Officers personally distributed bread and juice to the attending children as the highlight of the afternoon.
