MAKATI CITY — The City Government of Makati, through its Museum and Cultural Affairs Office in partnership with Learning and Mentoring House and Reinventing Play, invites children to an interactive cardboard workshop titled "Karton, Kahon, Laro at Iba Pa, sa Plaza" at the Museo ng Makati. Through fun, hands-on activities, children get to become architects, engineers, and community builders as they design and create a plaza that is fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone. The program transforms simple cardboard into tools for imagination, teaching children the value of creativity, collaboration, and community planning.
A Hands-On Learning Experience at the Museum
The workshop is part of the city's broader cultural initiative, running alongside the joint exhibits "Places of Memory, Places of the Heart: Plazas in the Philippines" and "Karton, Kahon, Laro at Iba Pa, sa Plaza" at the Museo ng Makati . By allowing children to build and show their creativity, the activity bridges heritage appreciation with hands-on learning, encouraging young minds to think about how shared spaces shape community life. The program reflects Makati's commitment to fostering creativity and cultural awareness among the next generation.
