MAKATI CITY — Basketball fever took over Makati as the Philippines welcomed its first-ever NBA House Philippines presented by Gatorade, held at SPACE at One Ayala on August 29 and 30, 2026. The free two-day event gave Filipino fans an up-close experience of NBA culture, highlighted by appearances from basketball legends Jason Kidd, Tony Parker, and WNBA icon Lauren Jackson.
Where Basketball Meets Entertainment
The celebration went beyond the basketball court, combining live performances with high-energy sporting activities. P-pop group KAIA opened the festivities, followed by SB19 as Saturday’s featured performers, while OPM band Lola Amour entertained crowds on Sunday. The excitement continued with a celebrity exhibition game, where Team Tony Parker defeated Team Jason Kidd, 97-76, with Filipino celebrities joining the action.
Fans Get Closer to the Game
Visitors also enjoyed interactive activities, including basketball challenges, NBA 2K27 gaming stations, and a display of the prestigious Larry O’Brien Trophy. The Sacramento Kings Dancers added to the atmosphere, while young basketball enthusiasts participated in a Jr. NBA/WNBA clinic led by Parker and Jackson. Despite rainy weather, passionate Filipino fans still turned out in large numbers, making the historic NBA House debut a memorable celebration of basketball culture in the country.
