Additional Beneficiaries Receive Financial Support
BACOLOD - A total of 294 additional beneficiaries in Bacolod City received PHP2,000 each through the Department of Social Welfare and Development's UPLIFT Program. Among those who received the assistance was driver Renel Dela Cerna of Barangay Estefania, who expressed appreciation for the support as it would help him purchase additional food and other necessities for his family. The financial assistance provides beneficiaries with additional resources that can help them manage their everyday household needs.
Beneficiaries Identified Through Community Monitoring
The beneficiaries were included in the program based on data from the Community-Based Monitoring Survey (CBMS) conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority. Using community-based information helps identify residents who may qualify for social protection assistance and ensures that support reaches households included in the program's beneficiary list. The initiative reflects continuing efforts to provide financial assistance to residents who need additional support for their families and livelihoods.
Nearly 3,000 Bacolodnons Covered by UPLIFT
Through the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) of Bacolod City, nearly 3,000 residents have now been included among the city's UPLIFT beneficiaries. The beneficiaries also include members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program. The continued distribution of assistance highlights the city's efforts to complement national social protection initiatives and provide additional support to vulnerable households across Bacolod.
