Bringing Preventive Healthcare Closer to Capitol Employees

BOHOL - The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), through the Provincial Health Office (PHO), is bringing preventive healthcare closer to its workforce through free blood sugar testing for Capitol employees from September 9 to 30, 2026. The service gives employees a convenient opportunity to monitor their blood sugar levels without leaving the workplace, supporting early health awareness and encouraging regular health monitoring. Testing is available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Provincial Capitol Lobby near the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), making the service accessible during regular office hours.

Convenient Testing Encourages Health Monitoring

Employees can avail themselves of the free testing without the need to fast, allowing them to conveniently participate while carrying out their daily responsibilities. During the opening of the initiative, Medical Technologists Denielle Louise Sales, RMT, and Samantha Nicole Garsuta, RMT, conducted the blood sugar tests. A total of 124 Capitol employees have already benefited from the activity, demonstrating the value of making basic health services available directly within the workplace. A special testing schedule will also be held on September 15 at the Ceremonial Hall on the 4th Floor of the Provincial Capitol.

Supporting a Healthier and More Supported Workforce

The initiative forms part of the provincial government’s broader efforts to promote employee health and preventive healthcare. By making basic health monitoring more accessible, the PGBh can encourage employees to become more aware of their health while supporting a workforce that remains ready to serve the public effectively. Anchored in the Capitol’s Strategic Governance Roadmap, the program highlights the importance of investing in employee well-being as Bohol works toward building a healthy, supported, and resilient workforce dedicated to serving Boholanos.
