Connecting Cebu to Vietnam and Beyond
A major highlight of this expansion is the entry of Vietnamese budget carrier Vietjet, which will officially launch direct services from Cebu to two major Vietnamese cities. The Hanoi-Cebu-Hanoi route is scheduled to commence on November 10, followed by the Ho Chi Minh-Cebu-Ho Chi Minh route on November 11. This new connectivity is expected to strengthen cultural and commercial ties between the Philippines and Vietnam, providing travelers with more diverse options for both leisure and business exploration in Southeast Asia.
Cebu Pacific Boosts Regional Capacity
Complementing the new international arrivals, local carrier Cebu Pacific is ramping up its operations by launching direct flights to two major East Asian cities this November: Shanghai, China, and Nagoya, Japan. In a positive sign of market stabilization, the airline will also resume its previously suspended Cebu-Ho Chi Minh service.
