Young First Aiders Prepare to Demonstrate Their Skills
BACOLOD - The First Aid Olympics 2026 is set to bring together young first aiders from across Negros for a meaningful gathering centered on skill, teamwork, compassion, and readiness. The event will provide Red Cross Youth members with an opportunity to demonstrate their first aid knowledge and practical abilities while strengthening the values that guide them in humanitarian service. More than a competition, the activity encourages young people to develop confidence and preparedness that can become valuable when responding to emergencies.
Highlighting Humanitarian Challenges Through This Year’s Theme
Carrying the theme “Migration in Context,” this year’s First Aid Olympics recognizes the humanitarian challenges experienced by people who are on the move. The theme highlights the importance of preparedness, empathy, and collective action in responding to the needs of vulnerable communities. Through the event, participants are encouraged to understand that first aid goes beyond technical skills, requiring compassion and a commitment to helping others during difficult situations.
Strengthening the Commitment to Humanitarian Service
The First Aid Olympics 2026 will take place on September 27, 2026, at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University–Alijis Campus. The gathering will give young first aiders a venue to showcase not only their emergency response skills but also the courage, teamwork, and compassion associated with the Red Cross Youth. By bringing these young volunteers together, the event reinforces a shared commitment to humanitarian service and the principle of “No One Is Left Behind,” while helping build a more prepared and caring community across Negros.
