TACLOBAN CITY — The City Government of Tacloban rolled out its weekly medical and public service caravan, the I Love Tacloban Barangayan, bringing essential healthcare and government assistance directly to residents of Barangay Diit and neighboring communities on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Essential Public Services Delivered On-Site
Held at the Diit Covered Court, the half-day outreach fair provided direct access to municipal resources, eliminating travel expenses and long wait times for local families.
Residents accessed a wide array of free government services during the event:
Healthcare Services: Free medical consultations, general health check-ups, diagnostic screenings, and distribution of prescription medicines and vitamins.
Social & Community Care: Direct assistance desks for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and vulnerable families seeking social welfare evaluations.
Local Governance Desks: Help desks for municipal inquiries, civil registration updates, and community concerns handled by city department representatives.
Strengthening Community Support Across Tacloban
Local residents expressed appreciation to the local government unit (LGU) and city leadership for bringing public services straight to their doorstep, highlighting how the mobile serbisyo fair eases the burden on everyday wage earners and elderly community members.
The weekly Barangayan program forms part of Tacloban City's ongoing outreach strategy to ensure decentralized, inclusive, and accessible public service delivery across all urban and rural barangays.
