Managed under the "Green Green Green" (GGG) program, these financial allocations are designed to promote active mobility, improve community wellness, and establish vibrant natural sanctuaries within bustling localities. Targeted Allocations for Fiscal Year 2024 Projects
The financial rollout for Fiscal Year 2024 has delivered a combined allocation of approximately P40.7 million distributed across key provinces in Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur. Davao del Norte received the largest share, amounting to P30.728 million, which directly finances transformative projects such as a new sports facility and public park in Panabo City. Tagum City has also benefited immensely from these funds, utilizing them to develop a nature and family park, upgrade its botanical garden, and improve elevated pedestrian footpaths. Meanwhile, Davao del Sur received a P10 million allocation dedicated to constructing a modern public park in Digos City.
Expanding the Initiative into Fiscal Year 2025
Building on the momentum of the initial rollout, three additional projects have been scheduled for implementation under the 2025 program cycle as outlined in Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Local Budget Circular 164. These upcoming developments feature targeted funding for Davao de Oro with P10.43 million, Davao City with P10.64 million, and another phase for Davao del Norte totaling P10.59 million. These provisions ensure that municipal and provincial governments have the financial backing required to establish arboretums, plazas, and recreational zones.
