Palcis brought pride to the Philippines with a stellar performance at the 21st Malaysian Chess Festival in Kuala Lumpur . Competing in the Under-8 category of the Dato Tan Chin Nam Age-Group Chess Championship, Noah finished in an impressive 13th place out of 46 young competitors, demonstrating remarkable skill and composure on an international stage. Noah’s journey in the 6-round Swiss competition was a true test of mental fortitude . He began strong with a victory against Malaysian player Badlishah Irsyad Badrulhisam, but faced setbacks in the following rounds against tough opponents from Malaysia and Singapore . However, displaying a champion’s mindset, the young player from Belen Homesite Elementary School did not let the losses deter him.
