The Bases Conversion and Development Authority has once again proven its excellence in communication, securing a prestigious Gold Quill Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for its 2024 Annual Report titled "Big, Bold Moves."
Global Recognition for Strategic Communication
The Gold Quill Awards, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators, have recognized excellence in strategic communication for over 50 years and are considered the pinnacle achievement for communication professionals worldwide . Winning entries are held to the highest global standards through a rigorous peer-review process by a Blue Ribbon Panel of seasoned evaluators . The BCDA's 2024 Annual Report, themed "Big, Bold Moves," was chosen to highlight the agency's strategic vision and commitment to high-impact developments that are transforming former military bases into engines of inclusive growth . This marks a continuation of BCDA's winning tradition, as the agency also earned a Gold Quill Award of Excellence in 2025 for its 2023 Annual Report, "One Clark".
The "Big, Bold Moves" That Shaped a Banner Year
The 2024 Annual Report captures a year of remarkable achievement for BCDA, showcasing the agency's dedication to nation-building through strategic communication. BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang emphasized the significance of the recognition, stating: "This recognition from IABC affirms the years of hard work, collaboration, and purpose-driven communication that have guided our organization. The journey toward this award was shaped by our commitment to telling BCDA's story with clarity, impact, and integrity" . The report highlights key milestones from 2024, including BCDA's tripled gross revenues of PHP 22.1 billion, the completion of the 19.8-kilometer One Clark Boulevard, the groundbreaking of a new Philippine Air Force facility in New Clark City, and the expansion of operations by global logistics giants UPS and FedEx .
